Hi, I’m Naomi Lutz! I’m doing a PhD in mechanical engineering at Stanford with research on batteries. Through my current and future work, I hope to help tackle energy storage challenges to allow for a more sustainable future. Outside of studying and doing research, I like hiking, biking, reading, and playing sports and backgammon. Feel free to check out some of my past backpacking and bikepacking trips, as well as a review of Palo Alto preserves, on the hiking page. And if you’re wondering what graduate student research in batteries looks like and want to learn more about it in an accessible way, then head to the battery research page. Or, if you’re looking for a new book to read, you can take a look at some of my recent favorites in the reading section. I also want to give a big thanks to Ben Kettle at https://benkettle.xyz/ for helping me set up this website. Thanks for visiting my website!
