Guns, Germs, and Steel

Guns, Germs, and Steel

This book analyzes how geographical and environmental factors contributed to Eurasian and North African civilizations conquering other ones. While I do appreciate how much history is synthesized, this book took me a while to get through. I never felt engrossed in the pages or very excited to read it. I think I would have liked the book more if it had more storytelling; my favorite parts were the sections about the author’s personal experiences in New Guinea.
