In April 2025, I did a one-night trip in Henry Coe State Park with a couple of friends. Henry Coe State Park is California’s biggest state park and is near San Jose, or an hour drive from Palo Alto. We started at the visitor center at around 11 am and hiked five miles to our campsite (Upper Camp) which was in a ridge between two mountains, next to a creek. We then walked up the mountain on the other side and along the ridge. There were so many mountains all around, which was super cool to see. The next morning, we walked back to the car along the same route. The path we followed is highlighted in the upper left of the map at the bottom. I hope to explore more of the park in the future!
